Document scanner tools
Scan a document does the whole job: it finds the edges of the page in a photo, crops to them, corrects the perspective and cleans up the paper, then exports a PDF, a searchable PDF, a Word file or cleaned images. Several photos become pages of one document.
The other two tools do one step each. Enhance scan whitens the paper, sharpens the text and evens out shadows while keeping the whole photo, which suits pages that need no cropping. Straighten scan detects how far a page is tilted and rotates it level.
Edge detection needs some contrast between the page and the surface beneath it; when it cannot find the edges, the whole photo is kept and the tool says so. The processing runs on a canvas in your browser.
